(1) After submitting an application in accordance with section 48, an examination must be taken to ensure that the applicant is not capable of driving such a vehicle and does not have general knowledge of such vehicle or vehicle-related laws, rules and traffic signals. The subject of the examination and the examination system to be taken will be as prescribed by the department.
(2) An applicant who fails in the examination conducted in accordance with sub-section (1) shall not be allowed to re-apply in accordance with section 48 until the completion of three months from the date of completion of said examination.
